Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Whether you’re new to the world of hot tubs or comparing your options, this FAQ covers the most common things our customers ask us before, during, and after their purchase.

A portable hot tub sits above ground and can be moved if needed — it’s the most flexible and typically the most affordable option. A semi-inground spa is partially set into the ground and designed to integrate with your landscape or deck for a more built-in, permanent look. A swim spa is a larger unit that combines hydrotherapy jets with a swimming current, functioning as both a hot tub and a compact pool. Each type serves different needs and budgets — our team can help you figure out which is the right fit.

A well-maintained hot tub from a reputable brand can last 15 to 20 years or more. The key factors are building quality, water chemistry maintenance, and regular servicing. Because we also do repairs, we see firsthand which brands and models hold up over time — and we only recommend the ones that do.

Not as much as people think — especially with today’s energy-efficient models. Most modern hot tubs cost between $15 and $50 per month to operate depending on usage, water temperature settings, and insulation quality. We can walk you through the operating costs of any specific model before you buy.

Buying & Installation

For portable hot tubs, installation is typically completed in a single day once your site is prepared. Semi-inground spa packages take longer depending on the size and the scope of your deck or landscaping work. We’ll give you a clear timeline during your consultation.

Most portable hot tubs require a level, solid surface — typically a concrete pad or reinforced deck — and access to a standard electrical outlet (or a 240V circuit for larger units). Semi-inground spas require excavation and proper groundwork. Our team will assess your space and let you know exactly what’s needed before installation begins.

In most cases, yes. Hot tubs require dedicated electrical circuits, and installation must comply with local code. We can connect you with trusted licensed electricians in the Las Vegas area if needed.

Maintenance & Water Care

Most hot tub owners do a full water change every 3 to 4 months, depending on usage. In between, regular testing and chemical balancing are essential for keeping the water clean and your equipment in good shape. We can walk you through a simple maintenance routine that takes less than 15 minutes a week.

At minimum, you’ll need to manage pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels (typically chlorine or bromine). Many owners also use enzyme products and occasional shock treatments to keep the water crystal clear. We carry accessories and can point you toward easy-to-use test kits and treatment products.

Neglected water chemistry leads to bacteria growth, cloudy water, skin irritation, and — over time — serious damage to your jets, pump, and heater. The good news: a consistent 10-minute weekly routine prevents nearly all of these issues. If your spa has already fallen into disrepair, our repair team can diagnose and fix most problems.

Repairs & Service

Absolutely. Our repair team services most major hot tub brands regardless of where you purchased them. If your spa is acting up — jets not working, heater issues, leaks, error codes — give us a call and we’ll diagnose the problem fast.

We serve Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, and surrounding areas. Call us at (702) 515-7727 and we’ll get you scheduled as quickly as possible. We know how frustrating a broken spa can be.

Don’t panic. Most error codes are diagnostic flags that indicate a specific issue — low flow, overheating, pressure problems, or sensor faults. Call us with the code you’re seeing, and our team can often walk you through a quick fix over the phone. If it needs a hands-on visit, we’ll get you on the schedule.
